and I immediately launched into neighborhood likes carrots, because that's just my problem.
:D that's the best part about Baltimore and what I miss most.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

In random news, in TJ Maxx yesterday, they had a bunch of floor-length silver skirts for $120 (marked $600-something), and I wanted one SO BAD. But I can't imagine a formal event in my future, so I did not get it.
Sweet potato and turnip baby food have both been successfully made and frozen.
Both 2900 sq. feet divided among six units and the "needs TLC" are sounding awooga sirens for me. Also not loving that the units look to be nearer to each other than I am to my neighbors across the hall. There can be such a thing as too much togetherness.
I drove to Memphis to catch Spotlight this afternoon and just missed the lunch menu at the sushi place. So of course I ordered 2 rolls, either of which would have made a full meal. Good thing I skipped breakfast.
How do people with kids ALSO have pets? Just wrangling our pets tonight was exhausting (Kato barfed, when we cleaned that up with a bleach solution we had to keep shooing Toke away because she lives up to her name and LOVES bleach smell and kept trying to find the source and roll around in it, and then we had to burrito Slinky to give her the nightly meds PLUS it was an SQ fluids night). If we also had to wrangle kids, someone would be getting ignored, that's for sure.
Rough evening is leaving me super down. Sometimes I just wish it could all stop.
Hey, Gud. It sounds like you're really in need of some self-care right now. I'm not sure what kind of support system you have in your life, but I suspect you don't have what you need.
I don't know how to convince you that you can't live up to an impossible standard. It sounds like you're responsible for everything in your household, which is unfair and unsustainable unless you're a single parent or live by yourself.
Have you thought about talking to a therapist?
Gud, I don't know everything that's going on, but all of what shrift said sounds smart.
Gud, I can't say it better than shrift. I so wish you could value yourself as we do.
Sundays are hard. I'm sorry you're having a rough evening, Gud.

This makes me think of ita, just because she would have gotten it and then found a reason to wear it. And my sister Liz, the one who also passed away. She lived the kind of life where you need to have a few formal gowns because you need something to wear to the galas or the opera.
