Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Literally, maybe my whole team should just leave at once and say Fuck You to management. Two are on the verge of Performance Improvement Plans, one might move, at least two of us are kind of fed up....

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Dana, considering that there was a ... fad? style? ... several years ago of using bra straps (actually, very expensive bits of fabric made to look like bra straps) as headbands, using earbuds to tie back your hair sounds reasonable. But I have short hair (and out in SF, there was a shiver down David's spine) so I'm no expert.

sarameg, would you have any interest in these?

And, just for amusement (and maybe to help recover from the horror that was the not!bagel, here's a video of kids tasting weird sodas.

Punishingly Intricate

Apparently I am very hard on myself, that was the insight today. I project my disappointment in myself as if it were coming from others, thus always thinking I am disappointing them.

Oh, yeah, I get this. As in, I do the same thing.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Yay sara!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

This Guardian article is so depressing. [link]

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yeah, I read that, and yes, depressing. And angry-making. I just want to whap people like that upside the head.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Too depressing to read all of, for me. Sigh. People are very disappointing. Not msbelle or lisah, of course.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I found this article [link] to be enlightening. Also, depressing.

I mean, Jesus, asshole who wants to see the world burn because it's not pure enough for his liking, fuck you. I have to live in it. MY KID has to live in it.

Thanks, guys. I won't fully feel free until I have an offer in hand, but this is an enormous weight lifted. It's gonna have interesting repercussions in the short term (I'll probably be pulled off testing after April, probably for a few months), but ultimately it is the right move for the institute and puts me where I want to be.
