I found this article [link] to be enlightening. Also, depressing.

Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I mean, Jesus, asshole who wants to see the world burn because it's not pure enough for his liking, fuck you. I have to live in it. MY KID has to live in it.
Thanks, guys. I won't fully feel free until I have an offer in hand, but this is an enormous weight lifted. It's gonna have interesting repercussions in the short term (I'll probably be pulled off testing after April, probably for a few months), but ultimately it is the right move for the institute and puts me where I want to be.
Also? Fucking snowing! An hour ahead of schedule.
That first article makes me hate people so much.
I am confident you are not always disappointing people.
I concur.
I ran a literacy event at school today (and yesterday) My older students worked with the lower school kids to have a bunch of "booths" to support literacy. There was a book buffet of donated books and (leftover comics from comic book day). Anyhow, it was....overwhelming. All of the books had been picked over and there was nothing left on the table after 15 minutes -- we had probably over 500 books and 200 comic books. Some of the books were donated by teachers and included scintillating titles like Adaptive School Reform Handbook. The students come from such a print deprived environment that even those books were taken by elementary students.
I'm feeling just verklempt about it.
Wow, Kat, that's intense. I feel the need to donate a bunch of books to your school. I'm sure I can get a box of elementary school level books for your kids.
Congrats on getting rid of the CSWTF. Good bye and good riddance.
This Guardian article is so depressing. [link]
If you are ashamed to admit how you are voting out loud then you KNOW for a fact you shouldn't be voting that way

I'd love that! I am thinking of taking our Little Library and putting it downstairs. The bigs kids (middle and high school) are more jaded about books, but the littles? They need the books.
I concur.
Me too.
YAY GOOD BOOM!
I went and saw the new building again today. My conclusion: It's ugly.
My conclusion: It's ugly.
And still has no space for the library?
