Exercise kicks my asthma,
God, yes. I think I've been under-estimating the affect asthma has been having on my life all these years. I figured the trouble breathing was just because I'm fat and out of shape, but depending on the air quality and the temperature, the exact same walk from the parking lot to my office will feel very different, lung wise. And I've been getting into a bad feedback loop of "hard to breathe, something must be going wrong with something, what's happening that I'm not dealing with." I've assumed that most of the asthma went away as I got older, and I don't think so, now.
Exercise induced asthma really seems terribly unfair.
Exercise induced asthma IS really unfair. Humph.
I'm not sure that Atkins made me feel any good, but lowER carb definitely does. I'm just like Jesse though, in that carbs are my One True Love and therefore never gonna give them up...and I'm A+
I think I'm A+, and while carbs are my emotional comfort food (pancakes 4eva!), I do best if my diet is protein and leafy veg heavy.
ION, I have successfully removed the dark pink from my pink streaks! (Buildup/transfer from the burgundy I'm using on the rest of my hair.) Of course, now my pink streaks are cotton candy in texture, not just color, but that's what neutral protein filler and coconut oil are for.
I'm home. Reunited with my phone. Lungs still hate me. Tired. But wide awake.
A-, extremely fat, felt pretty good on Atkins, but did not lose as dramatically as I had hoped. I lost 50 pounds when I gave up dieting, but I find mindful/intuitive eating unsustainable because in order to pull it off, I would have to respect and care for the body.
My knees and thumbs are informing me of the incoming storm.
Or maybe that's the snow-clearing I did last night at 11:30. Just sweeping, barely half an inch.
I eat salt as a snack and my BP is super low.
See, doctor, it's not just me! (I mean, with salt not raising BP. My BP is not super-low, but cutting salt doesn't lower it.)
Oh, I should go fill up the car with gas.

Yes, exactly that. I wasn't even diagnosed until I was 40-something. I thought I was just really out of shape. But no, actual asthma. That explains the coughing fits. I'm on three or four different meds for it, but I've avoided Prednisone so far. My niece takes it when she gets bad attacks and she has to go on a liquid diet to not gain weight - which is needless to say not gonna happen over here.
My friend also got diagnosed with asthma now that she is forty, and has the same reaction. She was a chubby kid, and they just thought she was out of shape.
I recently (at 42) have found out I am lactose intolerant-- I just thought using the bathroom a lot and urgently was normal, because it happened to my mom and grandpa too. But I had genetic testing and I lack the gene that produces lactase. I still can't seem to cut out all lactose, but stopping cheese fest that was my eating pattern has really helped!
