I'm home. Reunited with my phone. Lungs still hate me. Tired. But wide awake.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

A-, extremely fat, felt pretty good on Atkins, but did not lose as dramatically as I had hoped. I lost 50 pounds when I gave up dieting, but I find mindful/intuitive eating unsustainable because in order to pull it off, I would have to respect and care for the body.

My knees and thumbs are informing me of the incoming storm.

Or maybe that's the snow-clearing I did last night at 11:30. Just sweeping, barely half an inch.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I eat salt as a snack and my BP is super low.

See, doctor, it's not just me! (I mean, with salt not raising BP. My BP is not super-low, but cutting salt doesn't lower it.)

Oh, I should go fill up the car with gas.

think I've been under-estimating the affect asthma has been having on my life all these years. I figured the trouble breathing was just because I'm fat and out of shape, but depending on the air quality and the temperature, the exact same walk from the parking lot to my office will feel very different, lung wise.

Yes, exactly that. I wasn't even diagnosed until I was 40-something. I thought I was just really out of shape. But no, actual asthma. That explains the coughing fits. I'm on three or four different meds for it, but I've avoided Prednisone so far. My niece takes it when she gets bad attacks and she has to go on a liquid diet to not gain weight - which is needless to say not gonna happen over here.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My friend also got diagnosed with asthma now that she is forty, and has the same reaction. She was a chubby kid, and they just thought she was out of shape.

I recently (at 42) have found out I am lactose intolerant-- I just thought using the bathroom a lot and urgently was normal, because it happened to my mom and grandpa too. But I had genetic testing and I lack the gene that produces lactase. I still can't seem to cut out all lactose, but stopping cheese fest that was my eating pattern has really helped!

Not just you! Back off doctor.

In the past, my BP was so low, nurses took it several times, assuming the equipment was broken. Now, it's just very low.

I've never been particularly fainty, so it's just normal for me.

eta: also, very low iron that is just normal for me. Anything that would supposedly increase my iron number (I've tried them all) just makes me sick. Thus...NORMAL.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My boss went on vacation without telling anyone on her team. Without answering my email asking, how do I do this thing you want done by month's end? ISTG.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, Zen. That is impressive.

I was officially diagnosed with asthma when I was 18, though I know I've dealt with it longer than that. I spent a two year period in my late 20's early 30's that had me on a horrible cycle of being on Prednisone about every other month and man, that was brutal. I'm totally scared that I'm back in that cycle again...have gone through 3 rounds of Prednisone since October.

I'm not even sure what has me down right now. It hurts to breath, but it isn't my lungs. I know that sounds odd, but my nebulizer doesn't do anything to relieve the pain. I'm just trying for lots of rest and self care.
