...and the EIC caved and told the author it would be okay to keep the title the way it is EVEN THOUGH IT DOESN'T ADHERE TO OUR STYLE.
I smite them both from afar.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I smite them both from afar.
Teppy, I hate that.
Oh, gah. Precedent, people! Sometimes it's a very bad thing!
That title doesn't even make sense.
Ha! I just forwarded that info to my coordinator, and she said "Don't worry; when [scary managing editor who NO ONE ever fucks with] sees the title at issue review, she'll request a new one, and then he can deal with HER."
That's the best outcome I could hope for. I am mwah-ha-ha-ing gleefully.
Ah, a dragon in reserve. Always useful.
Booooo, EIC. BOOOOOO!
I was once in a support group with a woman who described her parent as "dementing," which kind of made me laugh.
Anyway, I choose not to dement. That's how that works, right?
Ugh, Tep. Glad there is a scary managing editor in the wings.
Good luck, Dana. I think I have heard good things about OK City? Don't remember what, or from whom, though.
I did, in fact, take myself out to lunch and even had a glass of wine. I think it helped? Didn't hurt. May nap now. I'm not planning on doing any actual work unless I get email signifying that one of my open orders can move further in the process, in any case.
That's how that works, right?
I don't know, but I hear there's an editorial that will explain it.
Does one who chooses to dement become a Dementor? Has the author read too much Harry Potter?
