Tracy: Well-- That call -- That call means you just murdered me. Mal: No, son. You murdered yourself. I just carried the bullet a while.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Booooo, EIC. BOOOOOO!

I was once in a support group with a woman who described her parent as "dementing," which kind of made me laugh.

Anyway, I choose not to dement. That's how that works, right?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ugh, Tep. Glad there is a scary managing editor in the wings.

Good luck, Dana. I think I have heard good things about OK City? Don't remember what, or from whom, though.

I did, in fact, take myself out to lunch and even had a glass of wine. I think it helped? Didn't hurt. May nap now. I'm not planning on doing any actual work unless I get email signifying that one of my open orders can move further in the process, in any case.

I don't know, but I hear there's an editorial that will explain it.

brillig

Does one who chooses to dement become a Dementor? Has the author read too much Harry Potter?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sorry your morning sucked, Suzi.

My morning was mildly annoying. After dropping the little guy off at daycare I realized I was running on fumes(or, rather, my car was). Filled the tank before hitting 270 to go to work, which was bumper to bumper all the way down. Got to work to find the close parking garage was full, so I had to park in the garage a few blocks away. It was cucking fold, so walking to my building wasn't a lot of fun.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Man, what the actual FUCK, universe? My dad just called to tell me that my 42-year-old cousin died. My dad says that "they" (I don't know if "they" means the coroner people who picked up the body) told my uncle it was a heart attack, but I don't know how they know that. So, since she was so young -- and apparently lived kind of rough, using drugs and such -- my uncle wants an autopsy, because he wants to know what the cause of death was.

It could be big ol' heart disease; everyone in my dad's generation has it/died from it. I don't know about my cousins. And while 42 is a little young to die from heart disease, it's not unheard of, especially if you're a Lang. And that is why my brother and I check our BP and cholesterol vigilantly.

Dang, I am not really loving the past 12 months. People need to quit dying.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ah, Steph, I'm sorry about your cousin.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Steph, I'm so sorry about your cousin! Whatever the cause, 42 is way too fucking young.

Man, kids should not die before their parents.
