Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I saw an article once that said that black teenagers who go to mixed schools are more aware of racism than black teenagers who go to mostly black schools, and they posited that it was because of stuff like that -- the black kids at mixed schools would go to the mall with their white friends and see them pulling crap like that and not getting into trouble, while the black kids knew that they'd be in major trouble if they tried anything like that.

Dana - thanks to you I wanted a baked potato, but alas, no potatoes in the house. I do have a couple of sweet potatoes, so one is now in the microwave. Thanks for the inspiration.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Suzi, I recommend bacon, butter, and cheese.

I had already packed sweet potatoes as part of my lunch, score!

ETA with ham. And butter.

I don't have bacon, so I'm thinking just some butter and a light sprinkling of brown sugar.

-t, ohhh, ham sounds great. Alas, none of that in the house either.

For dinner should I make smothered chicken or lamb stew?

Oooh, baked potatoes are easy in the nuker.

Confession: baked potatoes of any sort have lacked appeal for quite a number of years now. I can't recall the last time I ate one.

Mmm, I love 'em. I would say I'll take yours, but allergy.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Yeah I rarely eat white potatoes anymore and only buy them occasionally for Mac. I was crazing one a month or so ago and ordered one for lunch. it was too much. Starches have become not my friend.
