You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

"Somewhere in this building is our talent." Toby Ziegler, my spirit animal

It sounds pretty cute, but I have a lot of things I'm watching. I'll probably get to it. much closer to a good time than "The Testaments" although at least, if I remember the book correctly, the women of Gilead do get to win that round. So that's something.

cheerios: The "Malcolm" story that is blowing my mind the most right now isn't even on the show-- it's that "Dewey" loves college at Harvard so much that despite being offered money, attention, and a congenial cast that's fond of him, he'd rather do that.(I *hoped* that's what college would feel like, but there is not enough "So not," in the Four Corners area to cover the gap between my wishes and what I got.)And at least, I didn't build a career or anything(Someday I hope to close that particular "bitter" tag, but...) Not to sound anti-intellectual or too process-oriented or anything, but everything he passed up there is most of what I went to college to have, even as I respect his dedication to a discipline(Possibly English lit) and not chasing shiny objects and so forth.

Aw, good for him. I did see there was that casting change but I had no idea what was behind it.

They pay me in WOIMS

I don’t have Amazon or watch The Boys, but from what I’m reading, Kripke ought to be buying more lottery tickets or something.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

Elisabeth Shue's unexpected guest appearance in episode 3 both filled me with delight and ratcheted the OMGWTFBBQ? factor up to 11. The latter is not an easy task considering the normal vibe of this show.

Somebody probably talked about this once, but the Danny Strong that worked on "Dopesick"(Adapting it, I should say) was once the actor who played Jonathan on Buffy, right? I mean, I thought there could be two.

One and the same. The dude has won more Emmy awards for writing than Joss has, plus a whole bunch of WGA awards.

I love seeing his name on stuff and am unduly proud about his awards

He did a great job. Michael Keaton deserved his award, too. (Not that I thought he wouldn't, but he absolutely played a part where I never thought about his wackier personas once, which is pretty amazing, given that I grew up during Peak Wacky Michael Keaton and tend to think of him as, idk, Better Jim Belushi or something.) I'm surprised I could watch a film about that investigation twice--Netflix had one, too, with Matthew Broderick playing the Sackler part and Crazy Eyes from Orange Is The New Black as the female investigator--I thought they were good, but that the Hulu version might be better overall. Not quite Jonathan taking over the world, but close, adaptation-wise.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

He also wrote the book for the latest version of Chess.

Malcolm was enjoyable. Scrubs is enjoyable. If you're going to reboot, boot thusly.
