"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Salt, pepper, cumin, EVOO, in the oven at 400 until soft with crispy brown edges. Mix together 1/2 cup tahini, juice of 1 lemon, 2 garlic cloves, water to thin. Dip cauliflower in tahini sauce. Cry because you are now all out of cauliflower.

I tossed mine with olive oil, salt, pepper, thyme, garlic and parmesan. I do it at 450 and it gives me the nice roasty edges.

It tastes very different when you cook it this way. Its almost like popcorn you want to shovel it into your maw so fast.

That's all JZ and I had for dinner last night. One head of cauliflower.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

A mixture of cauliflower and potatoes mashed together is pretty good. Gets enough potato flavor that it still tastes like you're eating mashed potatoes, but a whole lot less carbs, and the veggie-ness from the cauliflower.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh no, -t! That's terrible.

I had a dream last night that I was eating grapes, and in the dream, I thought "I need to buy grapes!"

You got my dream!!

I finally got my kitchen cushions! And took off the too-high piece on top of the cabinets that are the base for them, and I think it's all good. I should neaten and take pictures.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We have started turkey chili in the slow cooker.(which makes twice this winter we've used the slow cooker. whee.)

Compassionately intolerant

Oh man. I use my slow cooker 3 or 4 times a week these days, but all for the same thing. I need to branch out.

I bought a head of cauliflower following convos here and commit to roasting it today, just so I can know what y'all are on about.

Mashed cauliflower is really good, but I end up using it as a salt and butter delivery system, so I'm not sure it qualifies as healthy.

Sanding break.

Holy shit that makes a mess.

Time to stuff a chorizo empanada in my face.

Also, even with the swanky industrial vent mask, pretty sure I'm killing brain cells with lead paint dust. I can taste it. Funtimes!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I was wandering around the Santa Cruz bookstore yesterday and decided I needed to find a menu planning idea place called veggies first. I like vegetables , but they sometimes end up never leaving the fridge.

My tj is in a strip mall so parking is ok. I haven't been to the new whole foods yet, for a number of reasons. The local Sprout has an awful parking lot , but I can park in the back -a longer walk , but they put a cart retun in the back so it works
