Ugh, my poor student. He's a hemophiliac, and he bashed his knee and it has filled with fluid (blood I assume). He has to go to the emergency room and anticipates missing school tomorrow. I'm just thinking what a gruel it must be for him, every little bonk is potentially life threatening!
Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oh wow, that does sound like a pain, poor guy.
My tonsils are so annoying at the moment I am wishing I could give myself a tonsilectomy. They always swell up like crazy whenever I'm sick, so right now my throat doesn't hurt because it's raw, but just because they're all swollen. And I can FEEL them. Which is so gross. And annoying. Almost all my cold symptoms are gone, except this. Blech blech blech.
Oh ick, meara, I hate that feeling.
Thanks. I'm feeling grumpy and lonesome, but not able to go interact with people. And there is not enough internets! Make more internets, people!!
Sick AND bored? No good.
I just spent almost 2 hours darning up my coat pockets (do you darn nylon?) And reinforcing some stitching on my swimsuit.
Goddamn, that took a long time for maybe 8". I really need to get a sewing machine.
The internet is pretty dead. So dead that I've started the Food For Thought course on edX: [link]
Edit: Which I am enjoying!
I hemmed pants last night and repaired a pair of K's krav shorts. Tonight, I helped Grace and Noah do their science fair project. We kept it simple (how maps work) and looked at why you can't make a sphere flat without having extra space on a map.
Uhg, thought I heard what might have been a quartet of gunshots a couple hours ago. Or ice or tree branches. Checking local crime reporter's tweets, homicide is working 2 blocks north and several over, the one with the jesus victorian under constant renovation on the corner I pass everyday.
This won't make national news, not like the Columbia Mall. Nevermind it is a fairly stable residential street on the cusp, nevermind it is #19 or 20 since Jan 1. It's just Baltimore.
Mutterings mutterings.
Ugh, sara. I'm sorry.
