Everything about workflow and assignments in my office has changed in the last two days, and we're using the crappiest, clunkiest software to manage the documents. And I have to learn All New Things.
Blech.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Am I correct in remembering that some study or other found that sleep deprivation contributes to errors in judgement and specifically overspending?
Currently tempted by Groupons for paintball, wine tasting, and "Victorian-style tea".
Eta: I'm sorry, Amy. Learning All The Things is always kind of daunting, clunky software can't help.
Most episodes of the Simpsons are ANCIENT, though. I remember watching it in a group in Montreal when we didn't all have our own TVs.
For some reason our entire company just got sent this oh-so-inspiring story about ducks and eagles and it's totally not clear who the first person in it is. Is Harvey Mackay everyone's friend?
However, my primary reaction was two-fold: "What's wrong with being a ducks? Maybe they like being ducks just fine." "Raping bastards."
Do eagles have any "bad" habits I should know about? Never assume your animal metaphor is clear of baggage.
We have a contractor company on the phone. It's remarkable how bright some of them are and not the others.
When The Simpsons started, basically my whole dorm would cram into the room that had a TV and space for some seating(most of us did not have TVs and we kind of aggressively didn't have one in the lounge).
Surely I was just in college a couple of years ago, is my point.
The bald eagle in particular is a scavenger. A friend of mine used to direct tourists to the dump when they asked where was a good place to spot them.
When The Simpsons started, there was a bar in Madison that would show it. So we'd watch it there most of the time.
Later, a bartender at that bar got in trouble for selling cocaine from behind the bar. I don't think this is related to them showing The Simpsons.
They eat a lot of fish, bald eagles, when they can. There's one that has been nesting near a fish farm for years because of the easy pickin's which I find extremely clever (and allowed Nat Geo or someone to film him over a fairly long period of time).
when I know there is a kiwi farm in Suisun Valley. Tsk.
I saw enormous kiwis for sale at the farmer's market on Saturday. Newspaper fail!
If I was just a little more of a curmudgeon I'd write a letter to the editor.
Can I put an item for discussion in here today. Senator Portman (of OH) now says he supports marriage equality because his son came out to him about 2 years ago.
While some have said he should be supported for this view, I am a bit more circumspect. I'm glad he is now a supporter of marriage equality, but very recently he has said that employers may discriminate against LGB individuals in the work place, his voting record is pretty poor on civil rights issues in general and toward LGB communities in particular.
Should we celebrate this change of heart or what?
