Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Trying to type around a cat, once again.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Suzi, better they give dog-parenting a go first before they commit further, you know?

I guess. They couldn't afford a pot holder last week but now they can afford a puppy? Whatever. I'm more upset that they aren't planning on puppy manners classes due to the expense. Even when I offered to help pay I got brushed off. Of the many things I've learned from the Buffistas, a big one is about not just puppy training but also owner training.

Our wings are not tired.

Ugh. I hate hearing that. I predict lots of chewed up belongings and an unhappy dog.

Ah, yes, the "I'm independent and can do things my way!" claim. Pity that the puppy (and their security deposit) will be the one to pay for that.

Is one of them not working, so they can stay home and housebreak the puppy?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, HEY THING IO9 DIDN'T SAY THEY WERE DOING... I make a post in the natter board last week, and they promote it to the IO9 front page today. Sheeit, that was during beta testing to boot. I know nothing is hidden, but that's why my notifications just shot through the roof.

I do feel a bit used....

I should get some work done instead of get irritated by that.

ION, since I'm getting money back on my taxes, I splurged on a gift for myself and bought this watch. I've had so much trouble with regular watches giving me rashes, I'm hoping this one will work.

Because books.

Oh, Suzi, that's not great news. This must be New Adulthood growing pains.

Consuela, what a cool watch!

I hit Sephora (the last time I was at a Sephora was with Amy, Lee, and Cashmere in Vegas!) yesterday to use up some of my bonus. Was super fun even though I looked ridiculous going to Trader Joes afterwards in full clubbing make-up. I am really into Nars products now.

I lucked out that she didn't rebel as a teen, so I guess it was due. I just worry about the puppy. They are already talking about a bark collar. They are both working and today was his first time being alone. I just don't see this working out well.
