Not every thought needs to be shared. You'd think I'd learned that by now.

I do like the wordiness of here. I wouldn't mind the ability to have an avatar again, but I don't need a bufftumblr.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

No social capital blown at all, amych. I'm confident that your feelings are shared by many. We are talky meat! I can see the usefulness of pictures in some threads as has been suggested. But I get plenty of graphics on Facebook, ok I understate, too many, and there are many sources for awesome tumblr content, most of which I found linked here.
I think it is a useful discussion to explore the possibilities and the only way we know where we stand is to speak up. I loved the avatars we used to use. I don't know which threads might be enhanced with images, if any. I don't know what technical changes would be required.
That said, when I get to the hotel room I plug in my phone and computer. Then unpack.

After posting I looked at my Message Center to see if any of my subscribed threads might be enhanced with pictures. (I don't subscribe to many) The 2 that popped out were Spoilers and Good Riddance. I can see where pictures are a good part of the narrative in those threads.
I'll let you know tomorrow what I do first in a hotel room! Because right now I forget. Not unpack, that's for sure.
Personally, I don't care about the pictures, either.
Can someone help me understand how an image thread will affect people having voices, in that thread or any other? I'd like to be able to see all sides of this idea.
I have nothing to add to the images convo at this time. I'll keep thinking about it.
Y'all, I only have to work at one job today! And I got a good 5 hours of sleep last night, so I feel great. Just wanted to share my good mood.
I don't think anyone is objecting to a separate image thread. What I heard were objections to image-embedding in all of the threads, i.e. answering someone with a lolcat instead of actually writing a remark.
A single, separate image thread might be a good way to test it out, see how much use it gets, and how easy it is to use, without disrupting other threads.
