Personally, I don't care about the pictures, either.
Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Can someone help me understand how an image thread will affect people having voices, in that thread or any other? I'd like to be able to see all sides of this idea.
I have nothing to add to the images convo at this time. I'll keep thinking about it.
Y'all, I only have to work at one job today! And I got a good 5 hours of sleep last night, so I feel great. Just wanted to share my good mood.
I don't think anyone is objecting to a separate image thread. What I heard were objections to image-embedding in all of the threads, i.e. answering someone with a lolcat instead of actually writing a remark.
A single, separate image thread might be a good way to test it out, see how much use it gets, and how easy it is to use, without disrupting other threads.
I'm concerned about that too. Though I don't really believe the macro-addicts on the FB feed are Buffistas.
What Amy said. It would likely cause weeping and gnashing of teeth to have images scattered throughout Natter, but a picture revealing super spoiling spoilers in the Spoiler thread or pictures of Secret Santee loot in Good Riddance might be ok. Or maybe it wouldn't be. I think that is what we are trying to find out.
I'll let you know tomorrow what I do first in a hotel room!
Where are you going, Jesse?
Should we maybe be having this discussion about images in the talky meat thread? It feels like a big enough change to board culture that it needs to be broader than Natter.

My favorite bit is when Hamlet is talking to ghost!dad:
Wait... you were murdered by the person who profited by your death? But... why?
