I like steak more rare, but thought I liked burgers more done. Either I was wrong, or I have changed.
Changed for the better, I say.
It does feel more grownup.
All beef should be as rare as possible. Not still kicking, but thinking about it.
Beau likes his beef done. and then done some more. done done done. Period. Well done does not quite describe it.
I prefer my beef (at least hamburgers), medium, but far too often, cooks give me medium rare (which makes me want to heave) or medium well, which is okay, but I like it a bit less cooked than that.
I actually like raw beef as well.
Beef should only be pink when it is alive. When it's on my plate, it should be brown all the way through. That's what I say. No char on the outside, no pink on the inside.
A friend of mine here is a huge Dexter fan. She keeps her Dexter DVDs in a special cabinet her husband made for her. The door is the front of an old air conditioner. So. AWESOME.

As is right and proper. And my preference.

My grandfather ordered steaks like this. Butterflied and crucified.
