'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

So... If its abuse and they take away the kids, what does he propose that WI do with them? Orphanages?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hm. We could turn our outrage toward the Wisconsin senator who wrote a bill classifying single parenthood as child abuse.

I didn't read Alyson's link. But from another source I read that he wants it to be known (through legislation) that single parents are more likely to be child abusers. Not that they're all abusers.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

And do we know that? I've never heard anything like that before.

Me neither.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

from another source I read that he wants it to be known (through legislation) that single parents are more likely to be child abusers. Not that they're all abusers.

Now look, it's not like I'm saying all douchebags are senators from Wisconsin. Just that, statistically, there's a higher percentage of douchebags holding Wisconsin senate seats than in the general public. What's so offensive about that?

Well, he's still an asshole (and, I think, a teabagger).

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

That's a helluva lot of backup there for that statement. Oh wait, there's not. But he's got God on his side. There is no fixing delusional stupidity.

Our wings are not tired.

I just have to say that a post about the Blunt bill followed by a post mentioning pot (roast) cracked me up. So, thanks for that.

hip deep in pie

Hunh, it seems that I had a rogue client last year who decided to replace all our standard wording with her own wording. I won't deny her wording is clearer, but it's essentially a legal gov doc. I don't know how she thought this was going to be approved.
