A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

Hunh, it seems that I had a rogue client last year who decided to replace all our standard wording with her own wording. I won't deny her wording is clearer, but it's essentially a legal gov doc. I don't know how she thought this was going to be approved.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Do you say "bah-NO-BOW" or "BON-a-Bow"?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I didn't read Alyson's link. But from another source I read that he wants it to be known (through legislation) that single parents are more likely to be child abusers. Not that they're all abusers.

Yeah, it's part of a bill saying that the state should do some child abuse awareness campaigns, train people who work with kids to recognize the signs of abuse, stuff like that. He wants to add language to all the materials that would say that single parents are more likely to abuse their kids.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

He cites studies or something, right?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Is it true that single parents are more likely abusers? I've never read that anywhere, but I've also never studied demographic trends in child abuse.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

one of you slow-cooker people need to come stay with me for a week or so and try out recipes for me & mac (spend your days watching movies and snuggling cats). also -t should come out for a stay. I am JUST SAYING! my lovely backyard and an empty house during the days and ME! to entertain each evening, more people should be visiting me. (ignore all previous posts about emotionally unstable household and extreme clutter).

mmmmm spring rolls were THE YUM!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I'd say it's more the other way around. The single parents are trying to get the kids away from an abusive spouse.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I say bah-N0-BOW (you say BON-uh-bow...huh, that doesn't quite scan. Calling the whole thing off)

Ugh. Cat-snuggling. That's gross.

I have realised that my home desk is more spartan than my work desk.

However, I haven't eaten at my dining room table in over a month. Still, I don't work there either, I just rest things. I have scads and scads of paper all over my apartment, but none of it is in process. It's either unopened/unfiled mail, or drawings I haven't worked out where to store (and I have drawn just the once in 4 months). I'm incredibly messy, but somehow it's not a desk thing. It's an everywhere else thing.
