I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Maybe you could scan the interesting bits, Jesse?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't have a scanner here, but realize that front page + cast list is really plenty.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I know they feel like it's their duty, but upon discovering me, every new nurse does not have to have the "narcotics isn't a cure" conversation. Should I have that note added to my files as well? Or just rest assured that most of then won't read to the part where I'm trying to get treatment at UCSF with a new infusion. Because that is in there. Perhaps they need it spelt out that coping means I can pay the bills, including the ones for random treatments.

Thank dog she's my second nurse, not the first. Still, doesn't bode well for continued gentleness of care. She's started out on a frosty foot.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wicked Witch of the East Cupcake

Cute.

Ha! Clarke Peters (Lester Freamon from The Wire, among other things) in Chicago!

I am carrying a small duffel on this trip, because most of the roads aren't well paved. But on a business trip that is not an issue, so if I wheel it all around it's much easier.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I guess I must just generally travel rougher terrain than all y'all.

Dunno what to tell you about the nurses, ita, I'm sure they think they are trying to help, but it doesn't really get you the care you need. I mean, no narcotics aren't a cure, but it's not like there is a cure you're just not taking so you can have narcotics.

Rougher and probably less crowded... Few things are more annoying than a huge backpack on a crowded subway! People never really get how much space they take up, when they are wearing them.
