Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday Bev!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Felicitations on the anniversary of your natal days, Beverly and Benno!

THis is a highly specific mnemonic, but probably suitable for some buffistas [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Apparently stank ass cousin tried to make eye contact with my mother at the funeral, and Mummy cut her off. Later on, she sat next to her, and Mummy froze her out of conversation and then got up and went to sit somewhere else.

My sister gave them all a ride to the airport and stank tried to hug her but Sav walked away from her outstretched arms.

My mother *thinks* my father may have talked to her, but she also thinks my father has no idea who he was talking to at the time.

So, you know.

My sister has a lot of stuff she has to tell me, including tales of family scandal, some quite horrifying. You never want to read the phrase "is okay with incest" in a set of snippets.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, Bev!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee.

Happy day, Bev!

Today I learned that the dog has been waking up the boy at 5 every morning for the past two weeks, eating, going outside, coming back in and falling asleep with me, until I wake up much much later. Meanwhile the SO is wide awake and cranky. Poor thing. I told him he needs to wake me up when it happens and we will tag team the dog, who cannot run this household.

The amusing bit is, during the insomnia days, I wouldn't have gotten to sleep until 4, so I should have just taken the dog out myself then before I fell asleep and then maybe at least one member of the family would have been well rested. Well, other than the dog, who then naps all day in front of the fire.

I know this because the SO is going winter camping today presumably and was going to take the dog, but the dog lost his camping privileges for the early wake-up call.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good LORD, ita! Your family...

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy birthday, Bev!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am glad your mother froze her out. I hope she got that message clearly.

btw, you need to keep notes because we all expect a novel. you know this, right?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Or how about a TV show? Revenge is doing well ...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm also apparently not supposed to call my mother a badass at her funeral, judging by her reaction to it at this one.

Thing is, my mother *is* a badass. So it might have come up. I'm glad to know.

the dog lost his camping privileges for the early wake-up call.

That'll larn him!

Except for the part where it won't...now won't only one of you be stuck with a dog that expects to be up and around in the wee hours at home?

I'm watching The American and I'm quite startled by just the beginning. Huh.
