more likely to be moderate rather than completely polarizing once in office

Erm, Matt, have you forgotten the Clinton years? I haven't. Newt is probably more polarizing than ANY of the other GOP candidates, because he is completely on board with a scorched-earth strategy when it comes to politics.

This is, after all, the guy who shut down the federal government in a fit of pique for being snubbed by Clinton on a flight to Israel.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, here is my pick of Graham Norton's would you rather questions: Would you rather be able to fly, or have a threesome every week?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Fly.

Edited to show my work: I think "this would be so much easier/quicker/better if I could fly" pretty frequently. I'm pretty sure if I chose threesome that after just a few weeks I would be thinking "Has it been week already? That is way more social than I want to be..."

Fly. And I say that a couple hours after having a fairly enjoyable threesome.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I've had threesomes. I'd rather be able to fly.

Whoah, just got a text from the guy I was going out with about a year ago, asking if I'd like to hang out. Tonight seems to be my lucky night in every sense of the word!

Threesomes! Threesomes for everyone!

I'd rather be able to fly. Threesomes every week would get old.

Though a twosome every week, well...I might go for that right now.

Zenkitty beat me to COMMing billytea's yard of inadequate size for the boys response.

I went to urgent care a few years ago at 3 and the doctor said, "Why are you in now? What changed in your condition from 8 last night to now? Why come in at 3:00?"

Hah. I was the opposite--once I'd been to the ER at 2AM and had to wait around and been tired and hungry and bored, the next time I needed to go, I said "fuck this noise", took a leftover vicodin, slept all night, and went to the ER at 9AM after breakfast and with a book. It was much better (though they rather doubted I'd broken my arm, since I waited all night, but I had)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

(though they rather doubted I'd broken my arm, since I waited all night, but I had)

They'd have hated me. I waited on a broken jaw, broken wrist, broken foot and dawdled on a smashed-everything-but-the-bone ankle. Also I failed to go to the hospital for nearly a week with a concussion.

I am not a role model.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I do rather like this CNN headline:

"Gingrich: S.C. 'decided to be with us in changing Washington, a Washington I was instrumental in creating'.

(I may have imagined that last part.)
