Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And is the *definite* short term part of it worth it? I mean, knowing you'll have to redo the process in a few months?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

On the other hand, an investment in training time for the sophomore will give you longer term help without having to go through the hiring process again.

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

polgara, email me your sister's address again, thanks.

Assuming I still have the right number for you, I just texted it. (Was easier with cat on top of me.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Dita made herself known! We are now hiding in the bathroom. I'm glad I didn't completely lose my shit because she totally did.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am actually realizing through this conversation that "B" would probably not be in the running if she didn't work for the research department.

Every time I have tried to go logical, it has backfired-- my job isn't really very fun, and I am the only person and they are the only student worker. Whereas in research, the work can be more fun, and even if it is boring work, there are always 5 or 6 people working in a big room and they talk and have fun.

Because books.

Phew! I'm just catching up now that I can see again. I'm glad you found Dita, Lee. Can you put her in a carrier until everything's settled down?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Lee, the cat's hiding hole that took me weeks to find was inside a swivel rocker. There was a hole in the bottom of the chair.

Oh, good! (That you found her and that you didn't lose your shit...)

I'm not sure I could get her into a carrier right now without physical damAge to one or both of us. The plan is to go help/ watch the movers unload and then come back for her. Hopefully by then she will be calmer
