sara, take the grocery store cuff's readings with a large grain of salt. Is there a clinic you can drop in to and ask if they can get a quick BP for you?

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Actual conversation with K:

"Did you know that Jennifer Garner had a second kid?"
"Yep."
"And she's pregnant with a third."
"That's a lot of children to begin to handle."
"Not if you have money and help."
"Yep and the money is secondary to the help."

sara, I have a BP cuff. I'd send it to you, but my BP is crazy out of control and I should use it more here. They are pretty cheap to get though.

My problem is I have bad white coat syndrome. If there is an authority involved, I get fractious. This goes back to my teens when my BP registered "oh, she's having a heart attack" at first and then "she's got no blood" later. Maybe I'll throw my mom a bone and have her send me dad's pressure cuff (his taking his BP all the time makes her nuts. He's like me, all over the place. When he was in his best form, his BP and pulse said he was a corpse. Not the heart attack corpse, the can't find pressure corpse. We're weird.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

"Yep and the money is secondary to the help."

Well the money can be used to secure the help.

I did not know about their second kid, but I love that Jennifer Garner is wearing everyday clothes, she's majorly pregnant, and she looks just lovely.

Well the money can be used to secure the help.

And if you have the help, generally speaking, it either frees up lots of money or implies that you have a ton of it.

It helps that JG was super lovely to begin with! But agreed about regular clothes. She's at the WF on Wilshire too which is funny.

Best corporate self-eval ever. Since it is (I assume) not the exact words you used, is it OK if I post on facebook? I won't unless you say it is OK. Also assuming that if you give permission you won't want attribution by name, but happy to give you named credit if you prefer.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

This is quite possibly the best tool use by an animal ever: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Feel free, TB, feel free.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I did almost an hour and a half of packing after I got home. I filled one huge duffel bag with clothes, and part of a big trash bag.

I still don't believe I will get it done, but progress, it was made.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, didn't slip until I got into my office building.

Our building custodian retired at the end of December and we don't have a regularly assigned custodian yet. Guess what that means?

Yes - nobody in the building this morning due to the snow, no doubt. The building doors are still locked, nobody is around to put up slippery floor signs and I swear that half the lights in the hallway are off.

Lovely.
