Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Feel free, TB, feel free.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I did almost an hour and a half of packing after I got home. I filled one huge duffel bag with clothes, and part of a big trash bag.

I still don't believe I will get it done, but progress, it was made.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, didn't slip until I got into my office building.

Our building custodian retired at the end of December and we don't have a regularly assigned custodian yet. Guess what that means?

Yes - nobody in the building this morning due to the snow, no doubt. The building doors are still locked, nobody is around to put up slippery floor signs and I swear that half the lights in the hallway are off.

Lovely.

Hee.

They actually have some sort of lottery or competition to divvy up open permanent custodial positions. And that's not happening for another week or two.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Breakfast FAIL.

Went through the drive-through at McDonnalds. They gave me my tea and my orange juice. Then I drove away. Didn't notice I didn't have my McMuffin and hashed browns until I got to work. Didn't feel like going back. Walked to a cafe and got a bagel with cream cheese.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Inspired by yesterday's discussion, since Ethiopian restaurants are the only place I've ever liked collards, I found an Ethiopian collard greens recipe that I'm going to try making. I don't have the time to make injera, but the same cookbook has a recipe for Ethiopian millet that looks fairly simple, and I found a lentil recipe that looks like it'll go with it.

I had such a mad dash to actually leave home this morning that I didn't get everything in order. For some reason I was obsessing about wearing my Captain America logo T-shirt (it's definitely against standards, but the boss is out, the mice will play). So I forgot to bring the cake for meeting my cousin after work. So I need to go home and back out. Silly me.

But I did remember the title to fax to Geico. So that was important.

Next week is all casual dress for IT! Sucks to not be us. Of course I've already gloated about it to people not similarly privileged...

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

tommy,

that sounds like the time I went through the drive through, paid for my "meal" and then promptly drove off without the food.

Art Crawl!!!

One of my friends was complaining about her inability to cook something new that her family would eat. I asked how her last foray into main dish cooking failed and she said it was a spicing issue. Then she went into what she did and I think in a 4 ingredient dish she replaced 3 out of 4 ingredients.

Oookay.
