It's a rental that got broken into, so I'm pretty much on my own for continued hemorrhaging of money.
My insurance company covers some things with rentals. It might be worth looking into.

I am settled at my sister's house for the next 16 days, with 230 lbs of dogs. Woot.
Got the dogs walked and went to the store and now I'm lazing about for a bit before starting cooking: I'm going to have my parents over for an early NYE dinner.
WTF, Enterprise. Way to end up on a shit list.
Oh G-d, ita. I am so sorry. 2011, leave. Leave now.
ita, what is the problem with getting the title to your car? what company is that?
National City, now owned by PNC. The problem is that they won't send me the paperwork to transfer my title (lo, these many years after I actually bought it--it was just not a priority for me before--again, my own shit handling of my crap). I spent 37 minutes on the phone with them on Friday, and they couldn't find any records of me having called the month before, or the month before that, or Geico calling them constantly for a month before that, back when they still cared because they were paying for my rental. She's supposed to call me back Tuesday and tell me what she found, but they're costing me over a grand at this point, that I can't get back from anyone.

They cover rentals when, say, a car is totalled. For a month. They don't cover anything here, because there's nothing to cover. I don't have a car. I exist on rentals. I know this, because I spent a decent chunk of this morning filing the claim.
I have a story about an epic complaint with Enterprise. Suffice it to say, they left an inopportune voicemail for me, that, due to my voicemail service, was forwarded to email in mp3 form. This file I forwarded to the corporate overseers.
I ended up getting a free rental for 2 weeks.
Enterprise sucks balls.
Well, they're certainly on my shit list right now. I've tweeted a bitter complaint, texted my manager to find out what to do next workwise, and I think I need to find a way to switch off my brain until the cops or the new rental company call me. Or at least to stop crying. My head hurts even more than you'd imagine right now.
And, I know they mean well, but if another neighbour stops by to tell me what's happened, I might have to punch something. I can't deal right now.
Well, not for now, but maybe later - tips from consumerist on how to register an email complaint bomb successfully.
PNC's email structure seems to be first name.lastname@pnc.com
enterprise uses 3 different formats:
firstname.middleinitial.lastname@erac.com firstinitial.lastname@erac.com firstinitiallastname@erac.com
I submitted my initial complaint through the website. That tended to be effective in my previous experience.
But I contacted the branch AND corporate in the same day.

I accidentally started reading the STFU, Parents Best-Of posts, and oops. Still on the sofa.
