What should I do, then? Send her a gift? Sacrifice? … Unholy fruit basket?

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I just glanced at my nearest bookshelf and listed the first fifteen I loved.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I think a lot of people have this image, wrongly or rightly, that vegans and vegetarians are going to judge them for eating meat or wearing leather, etc. Especially in the part of Pennsylvania you're in, the veg lifestyle can be more exotic than a lot of people want to cope with.

Pretty much everyone I'm looking at is affiliated with the university, and so comes from somewhere else.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Hil, keep it up. My experience has been that guys are impressed with girls who make the first move (what fucking decade is it again?).

FWIW, Wallybee was the one who contacted me.

Vegan is hard; I wouldn't have ruled it out, but it would have made me sad. Veggie wouldn't have been a problem.

I'm agnostic, but I wouldn't have ruled anyone out on religion; however, I would have if they were more than casual about it, for the most part. Not a comment on you, Hil, and I would have taken it on a case-by-case basis.

Like (I'm taking her name in vain!) JZ is very invested in her religion, but I could totally have dated a boy-JZ. I would not have been able to seriously date someone for whom to be married I would have had to convert. It would have been deeply hypocritical, and I couldn't have done it.

I don't think I could even have had a particularly religious ceremony. Elements of culture, sure, but actual god-bits? It would have had to have been very carefully done. Huh. I dunno.

I guess JZ and I's love is doomed. I can't marry you, darlink. You, either, Hil. I know you're devastated...

(Tangent: Good grief, I cannot have 4 periods in an ellipsis. I have to have 3 every time, and if I've used more than three accidentally, it makes me crazy.)

ETA: I contacted Dan.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

ETA: I contacted Dan.

About your doomed love for JZ? Cause he seems to dig you a lot, and he might has a sad.

Also, OK Cupid is putting me as an 88% match with a guy I sort of know. (He's a member of the Young Professionals group here, so I've seen him at those events, and he seems like a nice guy, and I've enjoyed talking to him. So, maybe. I'll talk to him some more when I see him again.)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I just found a comment from myself in 2009: "I won't be single for long, though."

I want to punch myself in the face.

I should hope he would have a sad! JZ's my backup plan, man...(I don't know if she knows this, and I think both of our Kinsey's would have to shift, but still...)

Sorry, Hec, JZ. Just as an example. But I would, were I free and bisexual, love on a TON of Buffistas!

Hil, give it a whirl. 88% is pretty good. And sorta know in your geo location is nice.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It seems more like an "it would depend on the person" thing.

Filters aren't to define the only possible people you can work with. They are to refine the list. If the chances are low (I mean, if it's unlikely he is going to make the compromises required to have a serious relationship with a vegan or vegetarian) why not just narrow those odds down right now?

Don't be sorry! JZ's eminently lovable.
