Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, I would love that. More, *I* would like to be the one punching. But that would be unprofessional, so for now I will just leave upset messages ( the best thing when it's review time, right?) and eat my feelings ( the one good thing about this place is the nice bakery it's near).

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh, Erin, what a lovely and deserved honor, and how thoughtful of her to let you know.

I, on the other hand, am having a literally shitty afternoon. The house we started today had squatters. With dogs. Trying to figure if we can even salvage the flooring, which was going to be the only material we could get out of here. IDEK.

Hey, erika, what's the police equivalent detail?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Erin, that is just wonderful!

Smonster, I'm sorry you're having a bad day at work.

G is being delightful again today and I'm being paid. Life is good today.

brillig

Another spam email from my dead sister. I may have to block her address. I don't need the gut punch when I see her name on the "One of your contacts sent you email!" thing.

Connie, that's awful.

I spoke too soon about G.

I think I'm going to go to my corner bar tonight, dump my change jar on the counter, and see what it'll buy me. Maybe Kevin will let me run a tab.

Bourbon and ginger: so the thing about what happened today is that not only was it disgusting and not only does it deprive us of the only material we were going to get from this project, but it screws us out of about $6K that we could really use right now. Through no fault of our own, we lost a large funding source (the one that pays my salary, actually); and then lost a little more when a property we'd been promised got demolished. This was going to make up for that last, at least. Except some squatters couldn't be bothered to take their urination and defecation outside.

I really hope this program doesn't go under. For so many reasons. But I'm afraid it's a real possibility. ::sigh::

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Ugh, smonster. I hope you get that drink, at least.

I went to go see relatives after babysitting, which was nice. I don't see my grandfather as much since mom sold her house in the city. I suck so much at the "what is wrong with you?" question from children. I hate hate hate it. You'd think I'd be used to it, considering how many times I've had to deal with it, but nope, still sucks.
