That's hilarious. And now I'm picturing billytea's DW getting stoned on poppies and running around in big circles.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Ah, crap. Coworker just reminded me that we haven't gotten departing coworker a gift of any kind, and we probably should. She's moving out of town almost immediately, to a much smaller place, so... some kind of gift card? But what? I'm inclined to Amazon, just because you can use it for anything, but that seems incredibly lame. Is Zappos too weird, from coworkers? She's totally inappropriate, if that helps.
Gift card definitely sounds like the way to go, Jesse. Personally, in that situation I'd be pretty happy with an Amazon card. Does Zappos do much other than shoes?
Clothing, accessories, bags, eyewear, housewares, beauty crap...
She orders from there a lot, which is why I even thought of it, and I think will be commuting by foot rather than car when she moves.
If she orders from there a lot, go for it. I find their price point is kind of high for a random gift if you didn't know she already used them.
(By which I mean, if I didn't know someone's shopping habits, I would worry that it might not be a good choice because some people would not be comfortable/get a lot of value from Zappos if they don't typically spend that much on their shoes and such.)
A gift certificate/card is a great idea for someone who's moving, Jesse. It doesn't need to be packed and they won't have any idea what they might need in the new place. I vote for Amazon because, as you suggest, it can be used for anything.
Now, I have another hivemind question before my interview tommorrow. Which of these outfits sounds ok? I have a medium blue linen shirt, but am worried about wrinkles because the drive is 30 min just to get there. I also have a navy blue and a blue green shirt, I have tan pants, navy pants and black pants.
I'm leaning toward the blue green shirt with the black pants, but am not sure. Should I go with the navy shirt and tan pants? My other shirt color choices are purple and red. But, I'm not sure about the "business-likeness" of those.
Help?
I think any of those colors sound fine, and Id go with the black pants and whatever shirt you feel the best in, assuming they are all equivalent levels of niceness.
They are practically identical, except for the color. Thanks, Jesse!
Candlesticks always make a nice gift.
