My office's Virtual Library has a quote randomizer which includes a quote about how English will drag another language down a dark alley, beat it silly, and then ransack its pockets for spare vocabulary.

you make a lot of sense, but the "Lost" bitterness thread (at least when I read it) didn't exclude positive comments and it was a fun ass thread! The consequence in "Lost" is that it drove a LOT of people away.
