Oh Le N, that's a shame. Both my parents are diabetic, and I definitely worry that I'll end up there at some point (and occasionally decide I've got symptoms, though I've never had an abnormal blood sugar test).
le nubian, I think beth b. has diabetes, hopefully she'll pop in soon. I'm sorry- but glad you got a diagnosis and treatment before things got to an unrecoverable stage.
Oh, no, Maria... I'm so sorry. much ~ma for you both.
Jeebus, world. Lay of the Buffistas, would ya?? So much love to you sweetheart.
I'm so sorry, le nubian.
I'm sorry, le nubian. You might want to crosspost in Bitches, where several people managing diabetes usually hang out.
ION, Highland Park is having a sidewalk sale all over downtown. One of the sidewalk vendors? A Lexus dealership.
Thanks so much, Calli, Jesse, and Nora. I heartily concur that the world needs to let up on all of us.
le nubian, my mother has lived with Type II diabetes since I was 12 or 13. Please don't view the medicines as something bad, because they can help avert a lot of health issues later. Trying to manage it just with diet and exercise is good, but not if it leads to wild fluctuations in sugar levels. Most of her health issues today are a direct result of improper management early on because she thought she could control it without meds.
I wish you the best of luck in getting it under control. Much ~ma to you.
thank you all. thanks ginger, I will do so. Bitches kind of scares me, but Bitches are what I likely need!
MFNLaw, sound advice.
I am taking the meds as prescribed and if I'm not in normal territory with the meds, I won't try to go off them. I just want to treat this as aggressively as possible with a good outcome I hope.
