le nubian, my mother has lived with Type II diabetes since I was 12 or 13. Please don't view the medicines as something bad, because they can help avert a lot of health issues later. Trying to manage it just with diet and exercise is good, but not if it leads to wild fluctuations in sugar levels. Most of her health issues today are a direct result of improper management early on because she thought she could control it without meds.

MFNLaw, sound advice.
I am taking the meds as prescribed and if I'm not in normal territory with the meds, I won't try to go off them. I just want to treat this as aggressively as possible with a good outcome I hope.

Eye~ma to you, Toddson. My mom just had cataract surgery and it was quite the success. It's amazing how it has advanced in the last 20 years or so.
