I think I'm worried that I'll end up spending more cash mailing the clothes to the winning bidder than I'll get from them in total.
Kathy, you charge for shipping and handling as well as the purchase price, most often, if that helps.
I had a very successful time of keeping cool -- haircut, errands, movies, shopping. I bought some shoes I'm on the fence about, but I can always return them (and I would, because I just bought them around the corner). I was going to do more grocery shopping than I did, but cat food was buy one, get one, and I already had the shoes to carry, so I'll make another trip for other heavy/bulky stuff later in the weekend.
Tomorrow, it's off to my uncle and aunt's to celebrate my grandmother's birthday -- oh crap, I forgot again to get her a card. Will I go back out tonight? Stay tuned!!
Sunday I don't know.
Also, it's supposably 102 here, but pretty pleasant in the apartment, thanks to leaving the a/c on all day. There was a guy in my haircutting place saying, "Yeah, I have an air conditioner, but I don't use it when I sleep." Opposite world! I pretty much only use mine when I sleep!
This level of heat is pretty much the only time I have the AC on if I'm not in the room. But it takes so long to cool back down if I turn it off, it's been on constantly the past two days.
I went to Starbuck's this morning, am going to the movies tonight and, other than that, have been in central A/C all day. It's just soupy out there.
I don't know, but I do know that from now on I will describe anything inexplicable as "probably just a coyote with mange."
Whereas I may just shout "FAIRIES!!" a la Matilda.
Sleep is the main time mine gets used, too.
Whereas I may just shout "FAIRIES!!" a la Matilda.
It's the POLAR BEAR of a new era.
I just ordered dinner. I picked from El Burrito Loco because they have the most delicious lemonade and I am absolutely craving it.
I COULD send out for food. That would avoid the whole "turning on the stove" thing.
Just got to Madison.
You know how new computers, if they're going to fail, will most like fail in the first 48 hours? My car stereo died. Everything works, but no sound comes out. Except every few minutes it'll play for five or ten seconds.
I had to drive three hours without any music!
Well, at least it wasn't the AC that died.
This weekend I am hanging out with Cass! And going to meetings for a project I can't talk about yet, but I'm really excited about. Even IF one of those meetings involves being up, dressed for a public appearance, coherent, and charming by
8:30
in the morning.
