You know how new computers, if they're going to fail, will most like fail in the first 48 hours? My car stereo died. Everything works, but no sound comes out. Except every few minutes it'll play for five or ten seconds.

I had to drive three hours without any music!

Well, at least it wasn't the AC that died.

This weekend I am hanging out with Cass! And going to meetings for a project I can't talk about yet, but I'm really excited about. Even IF one of those meetings involves being up, dressed for a public appearance, coherent, and charming by 8:30 in the morning.

Like an ass, I heated up pizza for dinner, instead of eating the farro/quinoa salad I half-made. But I wanted pizza!

This weekend I will pick up CSA after two weeks away and hang with my newly wed friends in town from oakland. Tomorrow night wee wedding party for them with fab sugar skull cake. Sunday parents and cousin coming down so I have to figure out something cool to do with them. Tonight is beer can chicken and beer with my mister! Oh have to clean some in early a.m.

Maybe I'll see you! We're going to the market early, I think. K wants to drive cause she really can't cope with the heat, which is fine, as long as she does the parking!

After that, I think I'll swim and start doing a shitload of laundry. Bedding and such for my uncle's visit. And possibly do my nails. Going to avoid driving at all costs until the heat breaks, so tomorrow is gonna be a homebody day.

My plan is to hit the farmer's market tomorrow in search of decent tomatoes. Then maybe pool time, and seeing Captain America later in the afternoon.

I suck about spending money, duh, I started this whole conversation. The problems are:

I am not used to NOT having money to the degree that I do not have it now.
I spend little money on little things all the time.
I am not disciplined on tracking spending.
I still have savings which do not want to plow through, but that also is buffering my reality.

I need to see if I can use mint in some of the ways megan described, especially for tracking my cash spending.

I am entering a pile of receipts into mint right now, so my budget reality for the month is about to get a little worse. It looks like I am spending at least $800/mo more than I am bringing in. Way to much to cover by any of the little means I have to bring in a few bucks, so I have to cut out some major expenditures to get that down.
