you could get away with anything, if you were quiet about it
Unless one of the siblings was in parental role, which is what happened in my mother's much smaller family (but with probably a similar spread in ages--my grandma was apparently sexually active and fertile a
long
time). However, parental attention and approval might be really hard to come by. However, it does sound like his father had a good head on his shoulders.
My sister doesn't see the gay in X Men: First Class. I think it's really weird how subtext blind she is. It took her until her second viewing of Inception to get on the Arthur/Eames wagon.
She is convinced, however, that the trailer for the new Sherlock Holmes is the gayest thing since I Love Philip Morris.
I also just spoonfed someone Tony/Steve fanart as well as links to fic. Why do I never consider that people are joking when they express an interest? Ah, well. Best to err on the side of tasteful sensuality, right? Right? I'm not pushing porn, I'm just putting it in arm's reach.
I just realized I haven't worn pants to work in well over a month. The skirts and dresses make this weather bearable.
I can't quite decide if this is awesome.

I don't know if it's awesome, but it is hilarious.
ION, watched a local thing on MD crabcakes. Made them look tasty...and I don't like crab.
Went out to a birthday lunch with fellow July bday friends at Chocolatea. NOM. I had the spicy chicken wrap, which was vaguely thai-spicy and good. But I had a hard time deciding, and since it is walking distance between work and home (just about halfway) will have to get back there. And it is quite reasonable: I paid $7.50 for a generous wrap and small side salad and it was enough that dinner was just a few crackers and cheese. It's an interesting concept: fairly asian inspired lunch food, traditional cafe breakfasts (belgian waffles, pancakes and eggs,) a plethora of tea and tea-based drinks (menu is longer than the lunch menu) and chocolate, both drinks and truffles. I imagine it does well in the neighborhood.
The discussion of clothes gives me an excuse to bring up "roaring girls" something I don't we've discussed here, but seems to me a very Buffista topic. Pdf: [link] . The plays apparently were based on a real phenomena, women who dressed in mens clothes and drank and brawled. According to the link "roaring" was a gendered term, applied to men, so a roaring girl was very definitely cross dressing and assuming a role usually reserved for rowdy young men, for "roaring boys".
Did you see this article about olden-tymey undergarments (and etc.), which includes talk of the roaring girls? It's FASCINATING. [link]
Yeah it was interesting. Where I heard about the roaring girls, but I actually found the roaring girls more interesting than the article about underwear.
Just checking that it wasn't some crazy internet coincidence.....
