Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, amych!

I have done no cleaning, and now realize I probably won't tomorrow, either. Ah well.

I borked something in my shoulder. It was giving me issues in the first 10 laps, then went away.50 laps later, came back with a vengeance. Came home and cleaned, which wasn't much appreciated. It comes and goes, which makes me wonder if something is just out of place.

Spent the last hour lying flat on the floor on an icepack, which seems to have helped. Uhg.

But I defurred the cushions, damnit, and reglued a soapdish that got broken a while ago.

And Devi has a vet appt Tuesday because she's got some sort of weird blister in her ear. Doesn't seem to bother her at all, but it is too weird. I first thought "tick" but now I don't think so. And not likes she lets me mess with her ears at all. This visit will involve gloves and probably a couple techs. Poor Devi.

Love that I can send a picture to the vet at midnight on a Saturday, and the vet decides she needs to take a look and schedules an appt. Gonna have to pick up the work laptop tomorrow. I'll telecommute in the morning, may go on site after the appt.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I started painting some picture frames. These are purple. After these, I've got a nightstand to paint, and maybe I'll paint some stripes on the legs of my kitchen table. After that, I don't know what else I'll have to paint, but this stuff is enough for at least a few days of painting.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We want to see pix, Hil!

I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow.

I just tried to scrub all the purple and blue paint off my hands and arms, and there was one spot on my arm that I was scrubbing at and the purple just wouldn't go away, and then I realized that it was a bruise.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Bummer, Hil! That is a much better story when it's the other way around (a bruise turns out to wash off).

not your mom's socks.

glad you and yours are ok amych.

I too want to see painted furniture and new kitty pics.

Now we're going to sleep at 9pm on a non-school night because DH has the ick and I'm still semi-sinusy. Though I stopped taking the steroid - it was making me twitch - and so far I'm still ok.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

NOM: I made a steak salad with avocado and pickling cucumbers, which I love, and I'm watching the Tivo-delayed Norway-Brazil game.

And woot! The Brazilians score.

It's an interesting game: both teams seem rather sloppier than the US and Colombia were (simple errors, reliance on big kicks from the midfield), but one of the women on the Brazilian team is the best female player in the world. And of course she's the one who scored.

Just did a bunch of stretches recommended for swimmer's shoulder and am feeling better. Good and bad. Good: hurts less. Bad: I need to adjust my stroke cause clearly I have been doing something wrong this weekend. Pretty sure I know what caused the change in stroke, same thing that causes me to have shinsplints and be super clumsy around now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I bought comics. I drew porn. I socialised abortively. I'm going to call that a win and go into a holding pattern until my ER visit in the wee hours.
