Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Am almost too full. Kristen brought home some lattes and I'm sipping one. Oliver is snoozing on a blanket in the bathroom, I gave him a bit of turkey with his supper.

He wanted OUT today, so I let him go with a sigh, and as soon as it started getting dark, he was back on my doorstep looking for food and his blanket. He drank a ton of water, ate his supper, and passed out, cold. So tomorrow I call the vet and take him in for a checkup. I'm a little bit nervous about this.

You gave him an awesome thanksgiving, Allyson.

Am full. Ooof. Too much good food.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Halfway point! Big yay!

The dog got scraps of ham left from cutting the ham, and the cats got the bits of turkey left from carving it, and boy, am I popular tonight.

I am suffused with warm family feelings and even though I haven't ever really decorated for Xmas (single, not religous), I think I will put a bit more effort into it this year than last. We have a tiny tabletop tree, which I am FINE with, but I think I will get some more holiday-y stuff and decorate.

I have such fond memories of Xmas from when I was a kid, (though M is Jewish, and D and I are religion-free) we have the holiday and we are having a New Year's Party, and damn, I want to make some family traditions all of a sudden.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I got three poinsettas from my mom, since she is going on a cruise next week. The big one is going outside of my door, one is going to my office, and I'll just toss the other one on my table, I suppose. It's a green one, so I'm not as enthused.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Halfway point! Big yay!

Thanks all! There's a lot more to go after the chemo, of course but it's great to feel like it's moving along.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, K!

And ugh, Perkins, I wish the treatments weren't such a long slog. I so want to see you next time I'm in the Bay Area, probably over the holiday break.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I gave my cat a bit of whipped cream for his t-day treat. That went over quite well.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I found an open Ethiopian restaurant, so I had some of that for dinner, but their injera is very bland -- I'm used to Asmara using real teff so that it's more sour. Still better than Boston Market, anyway. I'd thought that there would be more restaurants open around here.

A friend came over and we drove around together, and I played with her silly little dog, who is very sweet, but really it was a bit of a sucky Thanksgiving for me.

Happy birthday, DJ!

A former high school friend, very Republican, posted a passive-aggressive response to my status in FB about how I should be thanking the military for my freedom.

I just flipped out on him. Oh yeah, dude, because you NEVER served in the military nor did any of your family... So grrr!
