Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I found an open Ethiopian restaurant, so I had some of that for dinner, but their injera is very bland -- I'm used to Asmara using real teff so that it's more sour. Still better than Boston Market, anyway. I'd thought that there would be more restaurants open around here.

A friend came over and we drove around together, and I played with her silly little dog, who is very sweet, but really it was a bit of a sucky Thanksgiving for me.

Skipping lots because, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Daisy Jane's birthday.

Happy birthday, Daisy Jane! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Happy birthday, DJ!

A former high school friend, very Republican, posted a passive-aggressive response to my status in FB about how I should be thanking the military for my freedom.

I just flipped out on him. Oh yeah, dude, because you NEVER served in the military nor did any of your family... So grrr!

Also (and in a different post, because DJ's birthday deserves a post all for itself), if you could please spare some good t houghts and healing vibes to the Khusband, who had an appendectomy (sp?) on Wednesday (and was released form the hospital today, yay!), that would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. The Santa Slacker game will start, as usual, on the Monday after Thanksgiving. Just so you won't worry about forgetting the important stuff and keeping priorities straight and all that.

Short Fridays and lovely weekends to all!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Daisy!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday, DJ!

Ooh, I just got an email reminder about a massage appointment for tomorrow -- I forgot that's when it was! Good times, except I should be pretty relaxed by then....

Happy Birthday DJ!

Healing-ma to the Khusband. My coworker had an emergency appendectomy (is there any other kind) about two weeks ago, and even though the infection had, she's already back at work and feeling great. Here's hoping Khusband has the even speedier healing.

Good thoughts to the Khusband!

Massage = always a good plan.

I am debating walking over to Target because I figure the first round of insanity should be done. But then I think. WHY? I don't necessarily want to buy anything.

Also, I'm laughing that Apple's big discount on their one day sale for the iPad? $41. Woo hoo.
