I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Congratulations to Emmett! That's extremely impressive!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Good work, Emmett. It's a great brand of torture.

I know no one's paying attention to me, but a purist portion of my brain gives myself demerits for genre and culture-mixing wardrobe. Two demerits tonight, ita. And where did my pencil go? I need my pencil!

I take it back. One demerit. Or I couldn't wear the Moroccan scarf with anything.

I seem to have prematurely run out of internet.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I seem to have prematurely run out of internet.

PostSecret is up.

And there's a new Hark, a Vagrant.

That'll give you, like, five minutes.

You're right, it did. ER going well so far although the nurse did just ask if I was single. He isn't.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Congrats to Emmett!

I was out actually late last night. Huh.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I slept late, for me--until after 8:00.

And now I am going to attempt making it out of the house, to Target, before the crowds get there.

Because books.

I volunteered in the church nursery this morning and got to play with under-twos and hold a four-month-old baby, who promptly spit up on me twice and then beamed. LOVE.

Happy Birthday, Sparky! With cake!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Emmett is impressive!

Demo went ok last night. Not enough space in the bar to do an effective demonstration of derby techniques but the floor was AWESOME to skate on. I could have skated all night on that floor. Sadly, I had to take my skates off to drink a beer (that's a league rule).

I have managed to clean off my desk and make space beside my laptop to actually do some work on the surface. I just haven't figured out where to put all the stuff I took off the desk.

I've had two fun social nights in a row, which yay. Both involved karaoke, and last night included good crab cakes and an OMG scrumptious eclair... which was from the Land of the Giants so split generously among five of us.

Today is football game, more good food and company, and then I go into work after all the people are gone and hunker down for the next three full days until T-giving. Good planning on my part to have a fun, relaxing weekend first, I think.

Way to go, Emmett. Pretty dress, sarameg! Dana, I hope things are looking up. ita, hope you're getting/got what you need.

My radio just came on, playing Christmas music. Shouldn't surprise anymore. Ah, well, maybe I'll just go with it and not grumble about the early this year. Maybe.
