Happy Birthday Sparky!
Hey Cash, the only other spectator for the krav test last night was a young woman named Sara, whose friend was testing.
We chatted for a while, and she mentioned that used to do Kung Fu and have all the bruises up and down her arms.
I mentioned that Emmett had just given me his mouth guard because it was bugging him and I hoped he didn't get his front teeth knocked out.
She said, "I had my front two teeth knocked out. Actually, I just got implants this year."
Me: "How'd you do that?"
Sara: "Roller Derby."
Happy birthday, Sparky! I hope it's festive.
Sorting All The Things is kind of exciting, conceptually, to me. Or, yeah, no, I guess it's really Having All The Things Sorted that would bring the joy.
Happy Birthday, Sparky!!
Happy Birthday Sparky!
I'm having buyers remorse about the Mixer. I may return it. I can't quite justify the money and more importantly I have no space for it!
They let Emmett test without the mouthguard? I don't think we'd have let an adult do that. Really certainly not a kid.
Jen, the ER visit was quick and pretty efficient. I was worried because the doctor's bedside manner was appalling (her tone of voice screamed "checklist") but apparently she didn't care enough to question my file, so that was straightforward. The nurse had a bit of a qualm about giving me my meds the most effective way, but chose an only slightly less effective way and was very nice (except for the "You're single, right? You're always alone here..." comment) so I forgave him that.
Me: "How'd you do that?"
Sara: "Roller Derby."
Yikes! This is why I bought a Shock Doctor mouthguard.
Glad they handled things more or less efficiently, ita, though, more grace next time, people. Or something.
