Most of my onerous tasks are work-related, but I was at a mini-conference today, then I skipped put early.
I was inspired to go down in the basement and find the power box for my security system and disconnect it. It started a high pitched whistle @ 12:30 last night and it seems the battery is low. I don't use it, so it made sense to disconnect it. I went online and googled how to do it, and not it's done.
ETA: Actually security system is still on. Back to Google Engineering!
My onerous task is doing my job without crying right now. I swear to god this government. How ANYTHING gets done is a miracle.
My onerous task is tracking down a babysitter for Saturday night. All the girls seem to be going to the same showing of Harry Potter.
I got four done all together:
Scheduled dryer repair
Scheduled locksmith
Mailed rebate form for my phone
Contacted mortgage broker
David, awesome idea. Thanks!
Oh hey, looks like I'll be doing a story time at an indie bookstore near JPL, soon!
Which is good. Because I have a ton of bat gift bags with bat goodies.
Timelies all!
I need to pack for our trip to New Orleans this weekend. Not that it's all that complicated- jeans, t-shirts, underwear, socks and toiletries.(Some in the ever-popular quart bag as we are flying.)
I've come down with something that includes a fever and stomach cramps, so my onerous task today has been staying upright. I will try to call roofers to fix my roof tomorrow, though.
My onerous task was putting in a warranty claim for my stupid phone. It should have been enrolling for benefits.
Tomorrow.
