Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Police say woman attacked officer with sex toy

A Gurnee woman who allegedly attacked a police officer with a sex toy has been charged with aggravated assault.

Carolee Bildsten, 56, of the 5300 block of David Court, allegedly assaulted the officer on Tuesday evening with what Gurnee Police Cmdr. Jay Patrick called “a rigid feminine pleasure device.”

Is that a a rigid feminine pleasure device in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Is that a a rigid feminine pleasure device in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

I fail to see the distinction.

Well, in one case there's an extra hole in your pants pocket.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

This is a joke, right? Bears have killed some people in national parks, therefore we should kill all the bears. [link]

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Is it written by Stephen Colbert?

Some Christian fundies (citing the Bible) say we should do that.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

“a rigid feminine pleasure device.”

OMG, that made my day. Thank you.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Hil, I think that person takes the Colbert Report too seriously.

Edited to add: Heh, cross-post.

Because books.

West of Cody, WY is the east entrance to Yellowstone, and there aren't many miles between there and town. It is sort of a weird place to relocate a bear, although he's clearly crazy about everything else.

TPM article on the bear thing:

Social Conservative Bryan Fischer: Get Rid Of The 'Curse' That Is The Grizzly Bear

eta:

...

"God makes it clear in Scripture that deaths of people and livestock at the hands of savage beasts is a sign that the land is under a curse. The tragic thing here is that we are bringing this curse upon ourselves," Fischer writes.

Fischer is a favorite of social conservative Republicans, and even spoke at the Values Voter summit this fall alongside Mitt Romney, Jim DeMint, and other big-name Republicans. Many also know him for having suggested that there should be "no more mosques, period" in the U.S. because "every single mosque is a potential terror training center or recruitment center for jihad."

But Fischer also has a history of outrage over animal attacks. He was furious that the killer whale Tilikum killed a trainer at SeaWorld Orlando in February, because it's just part of the "ongoing failure of the West to take counsel on practical matters from the Scripture."

"If the counsel of the Judeo-Christian tradition had been followed, Tillikum would have been put out of everyone's misery back in 1991 and would not have had the opportunity to claim two more human lives," he wrote at the time.
