I'm supposed to deliver you to the Master now. There's this whole deal where I get to be immortal. Are you cool with that?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Sounds like this guy has given you enough reasons to put him on the spectrum from irritating to repulsive. Or put it this way: you don't hate people. You are picky about who you like. He has not put himself in a position to be one of the chosen few.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I let a garter snake loose in my backyard a couple years ago -- I found it trying to slither across a concrete parking lot and knew it needed some rescue. Never saw it again so I don't know if my good deed paid off.

Anyway, can I get a hairpat or two? I made some emotionally-charged phone calls that even though they went well, still have made my tummy upset afterwards.

The other day I noted that if my life has a Mission Statement, it might well be Making Things More Difficult Than They Have To Be.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

It looks like Analog had a decent budget for art.

That's a John Schoenherr cover. I wouldn't call it a decent budget. Analog just had a slightly less abysmal pay scale than the other pulps and a certain cachet.

Never saw it again so I don't know if my good deed paid off.

All good deeds pay off.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

It sounds like he's trying too hard, but maybe he's nice anyway!

I'm with Jesse here. Maybe you should try kissing him.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would not go nearly that far. For the record.

Go, Theo! ::patpatpat::

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Does he want to play soccer?

Not that I'm aware. My dad isn't from the US, so he grew up with Football as being the big sport.

Ohhhh, msbelle. Go out for coffee or something. If he is still in hyper mode, find a way to cut it short.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Math Monday: Wearable geometry

If you love geometry, you can let everyone know by wearing dodecahedra with elegance and style!

These dresses with sewn-on paper polyhedra embellishments were designed by Amila Hrustic.

I'm not sure how one sits in a dress textured with tetrahedra, but it certainly gets points for fashion.

Octahedral epaulettes suggest a high rank in the polyhedral hierarchy.

I sent mac off today with 5 completed homeworks. All of them were late, but I foolishly believed it caught us up. The teacher at dismissal today tells me that there was another paper due today. He turned in one that was due 3WEEKS AGO!, but there was another one that they have worked on in class that was due today and if it didn't get turned in, then it was to be homework. Annoying, yes, but also? why was it NEVER WRITTEN IN HIS HOMEWORK BOOK!?!? I have asked the teachers to check it for assignments, because I cannot even work on getting stuff done if I do not know about it.

And I do NOT want to spend my whole evening doing homework with him again. I want to go work in the yard or watch tv.
