I have done something to my right thumb, no clue what, to the point where I bought a thumb brace. It feels like it did RIGHT after the thumb surgery I had 10 years ago. Lifting anything or anything that requires my thumb to, you know, be a thumb, hurts.
I've got crud to do. This is not on.

msbelle, do the teachers expect the kids to fill in their assignment books on their own (as in, not all at one time, together)? If so, you might have to actually ask for a conference to discuss them checking it daily to make sure work is written down. We had to do that with Jake.

So Andrew Shirvell, the Michigan Assistant Attorney General that was stalking and slandering the current U of M student body president who is openely gay, was fired today. Now, of course, there is an uproar about how people cannot be fire for free speech! IT'S AGAINST THE LAWS!!
Are people, in general, just really that ... dumb? Do they really beleive that you can go out and be a giant prick fuckass bigot and that the First Ammendment will protect your JOB? Even if you being a giant prock fuckass bigot REFLECTS ON YOUR EMPLOYER?

Yeah, just like it's "free speech" for a pharmacist to deny birth control to his patients for religious reasons.
Shirvell also appeared on a segment of the Daily Show -- he reminded me very much of that judge who was suing a teeny family-owned dry cleaning store for losing his pants. IOW, clueless to how this appeared to anyone else.
