Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Awesome pulp SciFi cover from 1968: [link]

In a world... where bikini-clad women hang out with giant ferrets....

It looks like Analog had a decent budget for art. Their cover paintings are usually fairly detailed and high quality. I'm not really sure what is going on here, but the fantasy fan of me approves of giant marmots that play horn instruments.

So, our biggest client has a Saudi Arabia office, and we're doing programming for that office. This office has about 200 people it it, and they have one computer in the whole office that has internet access. (And it's very slow, like dial-up). This internet computer is in a public place, so anyone walking by can see what the user is up to. Apparently, using the internet in Saudi Arabia is a Very Big Deal, so they have to make sure you're not doing anything naughty.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

well, the internet is where the porn is, so it must be watched. Although any teenaged boy can tell you trying to see porn through dial up is an exercise in frustration. I mean, additional frustration.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Who's hotter? Jeremy Renner or Timothy Olyphant? Corollary question: who would make a better Snake Plissken?

Amy - Nov 08, 2010 8:15:30 am PST #4196 of 30001
Because books.

KURT RUSSELL.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Olyphant.

Now tagless for your comfort.

There is no Snake except for Kurt.

You're gonna get a new Snake. Now, pick.

Because books.

I'd probably pick Olyphant, although I like him best in a cowboy hat doing a Southern accent.

Not that I will ever go see the remake. ::weeps::

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Olyphant by a mile. But Renner looks more well-worn, which could be good for Plissken IF SUCH A TRAVESTY WAS TO BE MADE.
