Now tagless for your comfort.

I have to go out and buy my own present on Christmas Eve. *sigh*

The package from my brother came, so the kids will have more toys. Phew. Also mr. flea seems to have bought me something! Anyway, a package came from Amazon that I am not to open. And it's too big to be a book.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

And all is better after Ethiopian food for lunch.

Fail, Mr. Cashmere! Fail!

Also mr. flea seems to have bought me something!

That's how it's done!

mr. flea is mopping the kitchen and dining room floor. It is a Christmas miracle, I tell you! I mean, I asked him to do it, but it is making me so happy! (I do not mop.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The greatest SFF knitting patterns.

I had a Christmas miracle--the nurse got an IV in in a completely new spot first try. And I think they appreciated the cookies. The nurse I handed it over to seemed a little surprised. But then she nailed the IV, so I think it worked out.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Excellent job, ita's nurse!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think maybe UPS doesn't realize we weren't waiting on a last-minute Christmas present, but I'm grateful for the delivery anyway - I was starting to really worry that the new Amby mattress wouldn't arrive until after the baby was born!! But it's here, delivered to our 4th-floor doorstep while we were out at the planetarium watching "the space movie," and all is well with the world.

(Well, except for the mini-tantrum being thrown in the other room over handwashing. Kid, it's not like "wash your hands after you pee" is some kind of arbitrary new rule we just introduced today. This should be a habit by now.)

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

OMG! I was just about to give up on this being-alone-on Christmas, faking-it-till-I-make-it thing, hoping my brother doesn't die today or tomorrow pleeeease, and just go to bed, but this cheered me right up, from my besties: [link]

It's the little things.
