Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

Parents are pretty sure they aren't making Xmas. Anti-b's have taken mom's fever away, but she burst into tears at the thought of even walking to the gate in El Paso's small airport. She was able to get up and help make up the bed, but then slept for 2 hours. And she cannot be alone in case she relapses (her judgement flies out the window when sick, which she's fully aware of) so dad won't be coming solo.

Sigh. It's for the best, she needs to get better, and I've seen her with a worse case of pneumonia and it was scary. It took 17 days from the time she was officially non-pneumoniac to even get through a day without sleeping half of it.

Am sad, though. I like xmas with the whole family. She already mailed a lot of stuff, I think we'll wrap the shipping box and open it up and pass stuff out. And there are several things she wanted to buy in B'ham that I'll take the credit card I share with them for emergencies and go shopping with PJ.

Nails are done, going to put up the tree now. With the ornaments made by my grandmother and her friends for my mom and her sisters.

My family is lovely: my sister & niece brought me wonton soup from the best noodle place in Chinatown. (If only I had thought to ask for spicy pork noodles I could put in the fridge for tomorrow!)

It took me a couple of days to get around to it, but the bread pudding from the Irish pub down the street is as wonderful as I'd imagined. Also served in portions of about a pound, which completely makes up for the relative skimpiness of the (tasty) beef stew. And choosing to go to a college hangout on graduation night meant no loud crowds and lots of attention from the cute bartender.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Your poor mom, Sara!

I just went on the Somerville Illuminations tour with my family, although not on Jon B's trolley. Ah well. It was fun, although the city as a whole is falling down on the decorating front.

Yeah, it is for the best, just sad she's feeling so sick that she's missing it. She was all "I know how important it is to PJ" and I had to get all DUDE on her. PJ gets it, she'd love to have you there, but not half DEAD. It's sad for all of us, but unavoidable.

Then put go to bed on your to do list and it will all work out.

I have 4 boxes ready to ship. And two kids who are crawling all over me. I need a better plan that includes my kids and me not being trapped in the house all afternoon.
