Yeah, it is for the best, just sad she's feeling so sick that she's missing it. She was all "I know how important it is to PJ" and I had to get all DUDE on her. PJ gets it, she'd love to have you there, but not half DEAD. It's sad for all of us, but unavoidable.

I put up my tree: [link]

Then put go to bed on your to do list and it will all work out.

I have 4 boxes ready to ship. And two kids who are crawling all over me. I need a better plan that includes my kids and me not being trapped in the house all afternoon.

Vibing hard for sarameg's mom to get better soon. It's probably best for her to recover; at least she recognizes that. My mom is notorious for letting her colds grow into walking pneumonia because she refuses to take care of herself.

Today was my final class of the semester--yay! My procrastination record has continued, since I didn't start working on the take-home final until last night at 11:00, and finally finished it at 3:30 am. Got a few hours sleep, then went to class.

Came home, cleaned out the last week of mail out of my mailbox, and found that my uncle had already sent the annual check from the family fund. The check is never huge, but it is sufficiently large to make the new year happier. This year, it was more than double last year's--yay!!!! It'll pay off my tuition for my next class and books, too. Whew!

Then I took a midafternoon nap for a few hours. Now I'm taking a break from my latest cross-stitch project (it's the ornaments kit, not the Santa).

Tomorrow, I've got to head out to Hallmark and get my Christmas cards bought, and then head home and do laundry after I pick up a roll of quarters. Oh, and I'm going to start my "very soft foods" stage with some egg salad, something I'm really looking forward to! I've got to boil up some eggs either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Thanks, Kathy. This hit hard and fast. I think Tuesday? Mom knows to treat early, but this particular thing, she's just got no immunity against. lisah, told her of Jules' asthma, NO WAY experience and turns out, once she's not sick, they want to check that line of thought out.

Now I want egg salad.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I hope your mom recovers quickly, sara. It sucks she has to stay home, even though it's for the best.

I'm so not excited. We are waiting for a plumber. Is it better or worse that we and number 3 on the list?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Healing~ma for sarameg's mom.

beth, you have my sympathy.

Ugh, plumbers. I was lucky enough to get one on Thursday to clean out my bathroom sink and tub drains which had been running really slowly for months now. When I called the office on Wednesday to have them send the maintenance guy, they told me to never use Draino again but to call them immediately. Oh, well. At least they're hair free now!

I'm trying to register for my spring class. I want to take Library Management, but want to avoid any weekday evening classes (it's a pain getting down to campus after work, and I really loved my Saturday class this semester). Turns out the only option I have for that specific class is to take the one that meets only three times in the entire semester, but each one of those three times is for an entire weekend, one in January, February and March. Should be interesting!
