It took me a couple of days to get around to it, but the bread pudding from the Irish pub down the street is as wonderful as I'd imagined. Also served in portions of about a pound, which completely makes up for the relative skimpiness of the (tasty) beef stew. And choosing to go to a college hangout on graduation night meant no loud crowds and lots of attention from the cute bartender.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Your poor mom, Sara!

I just went on the Somerville Illuminations tour with my family, although not on Jon B's trolley. Ah well. It was fun, although the city as a whole is falling down on the decorating front.

We got almost all our Xmas shopping done today. All in the hood!

Yeah, it is for the best, just sad she's feeling so sick that she's missing it. She was all "I know how important it is to PJ" and I had to get all DUDE on her. PJ gets it, she'd love to have you there, but not half DEAD. It's sad for all of us, but unavoidable.

Then put go to bed on your to do list and it will all work out.

I have 4 boxes ready to ship. And two kids who are crawling all over me. I need a better plan that includes my kids and me not being trapped in the house all afternoon.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Vibing hard for sarameg's mom to get better soon. It's probably best for her to recover; at least she recognizes that. My mom is notorious for letting her colds grow into walking pneumonia because she refuses to take care of herself.

Today was my final class of the semester--yay! My procrastination record has continued, since I didn't start working on the take-home final until last night at 11:00, and finally finished it at 3:30 am. Got a few hours sleep, then went to class.

Came home, cleaned out the last week of mail out of my mailbox, and found that my uncle had already sent the annual check from the family fund. The check is never huge, but it is sufficiently large to make the new year happier. This year, it was more than double last year's--yay!!!! It'll pay off my tuition for my next class and books, too. Whew!

Then I took a midafternoon nap for a few hours. Now I'm taking a break from my latest cross-stitch project (it's the ornaments kit, not the Santa).

Tomorrow, I've got to head out to Hallmark and get my Christmas cards bought, and then head home and do laundry after I pick up a roll of quarters. Oh, and I'm going to start my "very soft foods" stage with some egg salad, something I'm really looking forward to! I've got to boil up some eggs either tonight or tomorrow morning.
