There's Once Upon a Page in Montrose, which is tiny, but they like to do local authors, especially local kid authors. Also, Children's Book World on Pico is a good one. Mrs. Nelson's in LaVerne (which is far) does a ton of book fairs etc. so it's a good spot.
What about Dragonfly DaLou? They have a biggish eventish space. and Sean Maher shops and does activities there for his daughter.
ZOMG, KC is getting 2 TJ's!!!! One will be about 5 minutes away from me!
I am SO HAPPY about this.
