This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

A reader writes to Sullivan's blog:

The Tea Partiers were created by Republicans.

They devolved.

They rebelled.

They look and feel like Republicans.

There are many copies.

And they have a plan. (Maybe)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

tell him you have errands to run and then be gone. or that you have other plans. or "not today, swamped, maybe another time?" or "just got asked for new XXX on project, need to work through lunch today, sorry." or "not feeling great today, raincheck."

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

They also found that mothers favor rhetorical questions when dealing with children ironically, but fathers are fond of sarcasm. (Speaking purely from personal experience...that sounds about right.)

My parents are the opposite of that.

Sorry Liese, that's so tragic.

Good luck for Amych's DH.

After hearing so much about Christine O'Donnell, I decided to visit her campaign website to see first hand what her positions are, but there appears to be nothing there.

All I've heard from her are the typical empty generalities. Well, that the MTV clips about the masturbation thing, which I'd admit are awfully funny.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Tommyrot, that's terrifying. The vapid blonde on Fox & Friends even LOOKS like a Six!

What's most appalling to my DE relatives is that she's not even from there. She's from...NEW JERSEY!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I just refilled my anti-anxiety meds and realized it has been almost a year since the last refill. Not sure if that is good or bad. Should I have been using them more or are my anti-depressants doing their job and keeping my panic attacks under control ahead of time?

ita, I wish I had ideas for fending off lunch dude. You would think "Thanks, but no thanks" would be enough.

Liese, my heart goes out to all involved.

Man, it still bugs the shit out of me when someone assumes I'm "Mrs. Harbin." How hard is it for your default to be "Ms?" god

I can only imagine how annoyed I'm going to get when people assume I've taken my husband's last name (as they inevitably will). Not that it isn't a great name! It just won't be MY name.
